Recognition System KP-201 Auxiliary Keypad

Recognition Systems' HandKey II can be configured for both entry and exit ID number input. The KP-201 provides a keypad which replaces the typical "Request for Exit or Request to Enter" keypad. It allows the HandKey II to datalog the ID number of people requesting to exit the secured area. If the user, upon exiting, enters a valid ID number, the Handkey II will unlock the controlled door.

The KP-201 also allows for Two doors to be controlled with a single Handkey II. The first door is controlled by the use of the KP-201 Piezo electronic Keypad. The user enters their ID number into the KP-201 Keypad. If the ID number resides in the HandKey II, the user will be allowed to open the first door. The second door is controlled solely by the HandKey II. The user would follow the normal HandKey II entrance procedure to gain access to the second door.

The MD-200 or internal modem is used when the distance form the HandKey to the host computer will exceed the 4000 � limitations of the RS-422 or RS-485 specifications. The MD-200 is a 2400 baud dial up modem. This a no frills variety of modem. Therefore special modem initialization strings are required. A list of known compatible modems and their associated modem strings are maintained by RSI�s technical support. Please contact RSI�s technical support department and request the modem string document before ordering a MD-200.
